Well, the other day I had quite the experience. National Honors Society had an opportunity that I volunteered at this past week with a children’s workshop for writing letters to Santa! It was so much fun being able to help the kids write and put their letters in Santa’s mailbox and making sure they know that they will be delivered. We had stickers, printed paper, markers, everything for the kids to make their letters perfect for the big man himself! The kids really enjoyed themselves and I was so happy to be a part of it! Santa even showed up to see the children and to grab the mailbox to bring back and make sure that the kids get what they want for Christmas. I even wrote up a letter myself, though I won’t tell what I wished for.
Now, tomorrow we get to help the kids a bit more -through the Oakridge Choir- by getting some elementary kids out of class to sing Christmas carols with and just have a good time with them! We are going to be singing Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer, Poor Little Jesus, and We Wish You A Merry Christmas! I’m very excited to be with the kids and encourage some of them to join the music program! We even get to wear Christmas gear tomorrow and just have some fun with them!
Anyway, just that bit of an update for ya’ll and I’ll try to post pictures of the impromptu concert in a few days, plus, it’s ugly sweater day tomorrow for the high school, so those pictures should be fun!
